A B O U T

GORZ is a two part band born out of the urge to perform a loud and sometimes primitive setlist of riffs, distortion and contorting vocals while bringing drama, irony and intensity to the stage. With a hypnotic show, the duo builds elasticity in their sound, complexity in their format and fresh frenesi.
GORZ will use tenderness as a weapon, screaming as a caress, and volume as a pillow, to inhabit a harsh, aggressive and violently cute world.
The duo has ants in their pants and spends their days touring the world. They have visited stages in Indonesia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, among other European countries, performing in festivals such as Toxoplasmose, Musica Estranha, Jogja Noise Bombing, as well as your favourite basement.

GORZ’s second album my tongue on your cheek breaks through with expressed rawness, opening gates into black metal, visiting dusty 80s records, and contorting bodies with awkward math-riffs that will make you want to mosh.
The duo spent weeks self-producing and summoning demons of volume and distortion in their basement-studio. Culminating into a suite of 8 tracks of eerie melodies, banger riffs and unapologetic screaming.
A listener crosses the album and reflects on desire; Opens the box with “i’ll skin you” to discover an ocean-wide palette of sounds; Closes it with “my tongue on your cheek”, the album’s title, a track loaded with poetic images of body, shaming of performative politics and hypocrisy. With a sharpened and already characterized knife of political commentary, GORZ’s second album draws a map through the roads of desire.
